Consumer Price Index / Inflation April 2020

Deflation that occurred in the Province of Aceh (Combined 3 Cities) occurred due to falling prices as indicated by the decrease in most indexes of the expenditure group, namely: the Information, Communication and Financial Services group 1.15 percent; Transportation group 0.82 percent; the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group 0.76 percent; and Household Equipment, Equipment and Routine Maintenance at 0.01 percent. While the groups that experienced an increase in the index were the Personal Care and Other Services group 3.06 percent; Health group 0.50 percent; and the Clothing and Footwear group of 0.10 percent. Meanwhile, the Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuels group; Recreation, Sports and Culture; Education group; and the Food and Beverage / Restaurant supply group did not experience a change in index.

The April 2020 calendar year inflation rate (April 2020 to December 2019) for Meulaboh City was 1.65 percent, Banda Aceh City was 1.85 percent, Lhokseumawe City was 0.91 percent and Aceh Province 1.56 percent.

Year on year inflation (April 2020 to April 2019) for Meulaboh City was 4.94 percent, Banda Aceh City was 3.15 percent, Lhokseumawe City was 2.27 percent, and Aceh Province was 3.13 percent.
